Evo Rider 2 Pillion

Q:  What comes in the kit?

A:  The Evo box, 2 headsets, 2 curly headset leads with “Pro” jack plugs, 2 under-seat headset leads

with “Pro” sockets,  12v power lead with in-line fuse pre-fitted. 3.5mm stereo jack music lead,

      2.5mm jack phone lead.

Q:  No Gps lead?

A:  That’s right, there are so many different Gps units on the market, we cannot include every type.

We do stock leads for every make of Gps we know of.  Just let us know make & model.

Q:  What is the top speed it will operate at?

A:  We don’t know.  We have not had anyone so far report that they cannot use it  at high speed.

We have had customers report that it was great at 120+ mph & our own independently witnessed

test is on our website for you to hear.

We will soon have the Evo independently tested to try and ascertain it’s top speed performance.

We have to do it independently because it would be disreputable (unlike other manufacturers you

can find on the Internet) to test our own (or a competitors) products without independent witnesses.

Q:  What’s the specification of the Bluetooth module?

A:  The Bluetooth module is now BT 2.0 standard, so it will “pair” with almost all devices currently on

the market.  It does not presently support stereo audio.

Q:  Do I need the Bluetooth module if I’m also buying a Liberty wire-free kit?

A:  Only buy a Bluetooth module if you want to use Bluetooth devices.  The Liberty is not Bluetooth.

Q:  Can I use a Garmin Zumo GPS unit with the Evo?

A:  Yes.  The problem that we, and other makers of intercoms, have had is that the Zumo sends out

the stereo music and the phone audio down the same lead, so it’s impossible for the intercom unit

      to tell which is which.

This is OK for solo riders, as you can plug in the audio feed from the Zumo into the Gps socket of

the Evo, preventing any muting of the audio except when the Zumo mutes the music itself during

      a phone call.

But, when you have a rider and pillion, the intercom needs to mute the music when you talk

between yourselves because the Zumo won’t.  Unfortunately the muting of the audio from the Zumo

will also mean that your incoming phone call will also be muted whenever you speak - not good !!

     The solution:

Purchase a Bluetooth module for your Evo and set the Zumo to send the music via the cable and

the phone call via Bluetooth.  That will give the correct muting for the entire system.

Q:   Does the Remote Antenna fit other makes of Radio?

A:   No.  It is designed exclusively for the A80 series radios and no others.
