Bicycle Communications

Cycling communications utilising a cycling radio and headset with throat microphone
Cycling radio system for bicycle communications

Want to keep in touch with all your friends?

Want to Speak and Hear clearly on the Go?

Then the IntaRide Comfort-Ultima is surely the ULTIMATE in cycling communication systems. This unique system is absolutely perfect for all types riding & will surely add a whole new dimension to your enjoyment.

What is it?

Instead of stopping your bike and fumbling around for a radio in your pocket, or having a microphone waving in front of your face, we have designed a hyper-sensitive throat microphone that picks up the tiny vibrations in your neck as you talk.

The microphone units are cleverly fitted into a soft, elasticated “neck-band” that fixes gently around your neck and is secured with a simple “Velcro” tab.

it is supremely comfortable for all-day wear, no matter what type of riding you are doing.   Fits neck sizes from about 6yr olds to 19”- 20” adult

How do I hear my friends?

To get the sound from your radio to your ears, the Comfort-Ultima throat microphone has two audio output options.

1) The kit comes with a “Professional Security” type Clear Ear-Tube and Soft

Silicon Ear-tip which fits comfortably in your ear.

2) There is a 3.5mm Socket so that you can plug in the type of earphones

that you use with Mp3 players etc.

How do my friends hear me?

The kit comes Complete with a PTT (Press To Transmit) button with Spring Belt Clip, which is fitted into the lead that goes to the Radio.

There is also a Convenient Finger PTT button with Velcro finger strap included.  This could easily be positioned on a finger or thumb, - Perfect for when you need to keep your hands on the bars !

Alternatively you can use VOX (Voice Operated Transmission) for truly “Hands Free” Bicycle Communications.

Why use a radio and not a phone for Cycling communications?

Normal phones rely on having coverage in your area, many out of town places have patchy or even no coverage.  Also, you can only speak to one person at a time, you need to physically answer the call, (or set it to auto-answer after a few rings) and we don’t know of any phone headsets that are truly Rider Friendly.

A Radio however, does not rely on coverage from a “Mast”, you can talk to a group of people at the same time, reception is instant and there are no bills to pay or call charges.
