IntaRide is staffed almost entirely by riders, because we believe that in order to serve motorcyclists, we need to be motorcyclists.
Many of our staff have previously been motorcycle instructors and are now active in advanced training with organisations such as the I.A.M. (Institute of Advanced Motorists) and RoSPA, also with Police Class 1 Bike and Car qualifications.
The Company was formed over 12 years ago in 1995, after one of the now Directors took his motorcycle test with a (fairly large) riding school, who were suffering from lots of radio failures. Offering to help with radio repairs for the school resulted in other schools making contact for the same service!! It naturally followed that designing a more robust system, that performed really well & didn’t cost a fortune, would present a potential business opportunity, and so the company was born.
Working initially with Training schools, word soon spread to the public and the company grew year by year. Progressing from basic, but high performance bike to bike radio systems, through to the very latest in cutting-edge technology, Rider to Pillion intercoms.
We are proud to have such companies as BSM (British School of Motoring), Harley Davidson Europe, and more recently several UK Police forces who have gone over to IntaRide systems for their Motorcycle Training, adding to the 400 plus training organisations using our systems. Not forgetting the many, many thousands of pleasure riders worldwide who choose to use IntaRide systems on their bikes - to whom we are eternally grateful.
We design & manufacture here in the UK almost all our own system parts and components, with the notable exception of our transceiver radios. This gives us total control over quality and design performance, allowing each component to be matched perfectly to the rest of the system. This is especially important with regard to microphones and speakers.
What’s next ? Well with the launch of the Liberty Wireless headsets, you can be assured that we will not be resting !! There’s always something else to work on......
