To unlock your power setting on an A80 Radio:

You radio is supplied pre-set to 1/2 watt.  When you press the "PTT" 
button, the poweer indicator goes to the top of the scale.  There is 
nothing else shown on the screen below the power indicator.  This means
that the radio is set to 1/2 watt output power.

1) Make sure the unit is not keypad locked (Press & hold "SET" button 
   to lock & unlock)

2) Turn the radio OFF using the power button

3) Press & hold the "PTT" button on the side of the radio and at the
   same time press & hold the "SET" button.

4) With the "PTT" and "SET" buttons held, turn the radio ON with the 
   power button.  The radio will bleep  * * * ***

5) Observe the display screen, an (H) (M) or (L) are now displayed
   under the power indicator.  These are for (H) 2 watts, (M) 1 watt
   and (L) 1/2 watt.

6) To toggle between the various power settings, press & hold the "PTT"
   button on the radio and use the "UP" and "DOWN" buttons to adjust.

We must inform you that the use of higher power outputs is not allowed
under current UK PMR446 regulations.



As of July 2007, Our LP4502E Radios will have an additional 69+38ctcss LPD 
channels (2,622 combinations) available for use where legal in Europe.

To access the 69 LPD channels:

1) Turn the radio "OFF"
2) Press & Hold the "CH+UP+DOWN" buttons and then press "ON"
3) To revert back to PMR446 8 channels, reverse the above proceedure
